The lowest place below sea level

After our quick stopover in Las Vegas (yes we had to endulge in the Mirage Cravings Buffet once again), we set out to discover Death Valley. Having been entensively used as a mining area before gaining National Park status, there are a few historic mines and lots of desert to see. We marveled at the view from Zabriskie Point and took in the sunset at the Badwater Basin, the lowest point of North America (282 feet (86 m) below sea level).

We traveled further on to Sequoia and Kings Canyon.
